After years of putting up with standard automotive nuts for alloy wheels on boat trailers and associated rust that goes with them, Savage Trailers decided that a marine specific solution was required and is now sourcing and distributing the Dacro Nut and Dacro Loc. As the name suggests, these nuts are Dacromet coated to give long term saltwater performance.

We have been field testing these nuts for over two years and still have not seen any visible corrosion. They're available exclusively from Savage Trailers in 1/2" nuts to suit Ford and Landcruiser studs, 7/16" nuts to suit Holden studs and 1/2" locknuts to suit Ford and Landcruiser studs.
